Kyle, What?
Every now and again, we all have unique thoughts and when those come into our mind, we think to ourselves, "Ooo! That's spicy! I should share that with all of humankind." Or that could just be a millennial thing, but never the less, here we are.
Over the last few years, there have been a growing list of trade-offs you need to make to share your thoughts on the internet. Do you want Mark Zuckerburg to monetize your thoughts so that he can take that money and make more perv glasses? Do you want AI to train on your thoughts and regurgitate them to Dave without any attribution? It's weird times out there.
When things get complicated, I like to go simple. Here's KyleOrmiston.com. A website with my name, my thoughts, no monetization, and a robots.txt file that says "AI, get your grubby Funyun-loving fingers off my thoughts." (I should clarify, I have no knowledge of any relationship between AI and Funyuns.)
That's the whole thing. If you like what you read, keep coming back. If you don't, thanks for stopping by. Hope you're having a good day.
Let's blog about it.
